Upcoming Companies House Fees Increased: Here’s Everything You Need to Know.

Upcoming companies' house fee increased

This is an updated announcement from Companies House! Due to the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, filing fees will increase from May 1st, 2024. This fee increase will improve the register’s information accuracy, expand digital services, and protect against economic crime. Companies House also focuses on enhancing the services it provides through this increase.

This article sheds light on a comprehensive list of fee changes. Also, you will explore the information about the key factors that can impact self-employed and small business owners operating via limited companies.

Significant Rises Affecting Self-Employed Enterprises

  • Incorporation of Company

The fee to integrate your business will rise from £12 to £50 if you incorporate online or via software. A charge of £78 will be implemented if you require a same-day turnaround. If you are a Lockhart Amin Accountants client, our professionals will handle the whole company formation process from start to finish for just £144 + VAT. We usually set all your limited company concerns on the same day!

  • Statement of Confirmation

The fee for filing an annual confirmation statement will increase. If you file online, you will pay £13 to £34, and if you file using paper (CS01 form), you will pay £40 to £60.

  • Modification in your Company Name

If you want to register a change or a new company name with Companies House, the fee for online filing will rise from £10 to £20. If you require a same-day turnabout and file online, your cost will be £83. However, if you file using a paper (NM01 form), the price will rise from £8 to £30.

  • Voluntary Cancellation of Registration

If you decide to close your company, you must pay more to strike off the registration. The fee for online filing is £8 to £33, and for filing using DS01 paper, it is £10 to £44.

  • Administrative Revival

If you submit your annual accounts and confirmation statement to the company’s House late, they will send you a reminder. However, after the reminder, you may receive penalties and fines if you submit the requisite documentation. Your company might also need help with the registration. Also, if you don’t notify Companies House about the change of office address, then you can cancel your registration.

If your business’s registration strikes off once it no longer trades, the fee to restore it to the company’s House will be £100 to £468. However, this fee is significantly higher than the other increases. So, submit all required business documentation on time and accurately.
